Beth Katleman

Beth Katleman is a Brooklyn-based ceramics artist. Her sculptural installations combine Rococo embellishments (floral motifs or whimsical themes) with storytelling and (sometimes dark) surprises. For instance, Beth’s “vanity” backdrop (comprised of 4500 porcelain pieces) for the The Victoria and Albert Museum’s Marie Antoinette Style features a bust of the namesake ruler adorned with a guillotine hair ornament.

Her sculptures have been exhibited internationally in art fairs such as Art Miami, PAD Fairs in London, Paris and New York and museums including the Museum of Arts and Design, New York, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco.

Hope you get to see Beth’s three-dimensional toile de jouy in person (until March 22) in London or when the exhibition travels to Japan, South Korea, and Nashville USA.
